Research and Creativity Unit

Introduction

The Research and Creativity Unit was established in the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences in 1433H as per the administrative order of the University Vice- Dean for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research. According to this order, a Research and Creativity Unit was established in each of the university faculties to improve the quality of students’ research and support their contributions in scientific forums. The Unit is affiliated to the Vice-Dean of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research in the Faculty.

Vision

The Vision for the Research and Creativity Unit is to provide the academic forum for the combination of distinguished research and distinctive creativity so as to encourage students of the faculty to become distinguished scientists within their specialization.

Message

The Mission is to encourage and provide guidance and support for students of the faculty to perform and providehigh quality research and to express and develop their creative abilities in ways that contribute to improving science.

Objectives

• Enhance students' research.
• Support contributions of students in scientific forums.
• Represent the faculty in scientific forums held in the university.

  Mission:

• Encourage students to attend conferences and scientific forums at the level of the university and outside .
• Participate in coordinating the students' annual forum in the faculty.
• Choose and honor the distinguishedfaculty researchers .
• Choose distinguished researchers to participate in scientific forums within the university.
• Allow distinguished students to take part in research projects.
• Guide the faculty students to improve and adopt distinct ideas in the fields of research and invention.

The students from the fourth year from all the science departments of the Faculty will be chosen annually to join the Unit as honorary members.
